Keira Knightley scored a double at the Oscar's, appearing on both
best-dressed and worst-dressed lists in a one-shoulder Vera Wanggown of wine-coloured taffeta with a fi tted, asymmetrical bodiceand trumpet skirt, but overall her vote was in the affi rmative - shealso looked great in a different gown at the Vanity Fair Oscars party- with her necklace, a 1960s stunner from Bulgari, pure Hollywoodglamour.Charlize Theron was super-sophisticated in sleek black satin with apillow-size bow on her left shoulder and Felicity Huffman memorablein a plunge-neck Zac Posen design. Salma Hayek and Uma Thurman, both in Versace, also selected gowns with low-cut necklines.Black was the dominant colour - Sandra Bullock wore a straplessnumber by Angel Sanchez, and Rachel Weisz was in a portrait-necklinegown by Narciso Rodriguez - but there were plenty of neutralshades such as taupe, nude, ivory, bronze and platinum, while JessicaAlba chose a light shade of gold for her Versace halter gown. It's doubtful that even King Kong could have loved Naomi Watts inher slashed-and-shredded Givenchy design.Hairstyles were the casual chignon and long, loose curls were inabundance. Make-up was pale, pretty and natural-looking.
