Standout Frocks And Shocks Of 2006

the word with Amy Edwards and Michelle Harris

MICHELLE WILLIAMS

THE colour is bold and not everyone?s cup

of tea, but best actress nominee Williams

cuts a distinct figure on a crowded

Academy Awards red carpet in this Vera

Wang gown. She shows she?s got a bit of

imagination and looks fantastic with a red

pout. Carry-over points awarded for her

deep purple Golden Globes gown.

DEMI MOORE

MOORE is more in this sexy and

sophisticated little ensemble. Looking

years younger than she is ? but not like

she?s trying to ? Moore is picture perfect

from the loose locks to the toenail

polish. She?s arriving at the premiere of

the film The Guardian in Washington in

September.

CHARLIZE THERON

IT?S not one of the worst frocks The Word

has seen but any dress that makes the

statuesque Theron look this awkward

deserves a bagging. Theron is strutting

the red carpet at the Academy Awards.

Someone should have snipped the

pillow-size satin bow off her shoulder.

SUSIE PORTER

NEWCASTLE?S Porter may have scooped two AFI

awards, but her frock does her no favours. Note:

tartan should only be used for kilts.

HELENA

BONHAM CARTER

FREQUENT fashion offender

British actress Bonham Carter

looks as confused as we are

about her choice of outfit.

The hair is an absolute no-no.

She?s also at the Academy

Awards.
